Too thick, not suitable for facial use under makeup
Posted by Gilda B. on 10th Apr 2015
I've been looking for a face cream with a high SPF to use under my daily makeup. I have dry skin, and all the products I've found with good sunscreen are oil-free, and not moisturizing enough for me. Also, the oil-free sort of creams tend to get gummy when mixed with my oil-bsed foundations, a very bad result. The description of this cream included "moisturizing" and it has a high SPF, so I bought it. Unfortunately, it also is oil-free. Also, the texture is way too thick and gummy. I absolutely can not use it under my makeup. It's OK for hands and neck, but there are many other products that work well for those areas, and they are WAY less expensive than this one. I can think of no reason to recommend this product.
The Facemedix website where I purchased this does not give refunds or exchanges. They also do not give much information about what you;re buying, only a blurry photo of the tube and the most basic explanation of what the product is. They also offer very little advice when you contact them, in my case one meager sentence along the lines of "the product is good." I am disappointed that I just threw $31 away on another tube I will probably not use. Not only am I unhappy with the cream, but I'm not very happy with Facemedix, either. They should put more effort into customer satisfaction.
